Keeping your attic dry is the number one way to prevent attic mold. And proper attic ventilation is an affordable way to do this. Many homes in the Chicago area don’t have adequate intake and exhaust vents. Adding soffit or under eave vents coupled with roof vents, or an attic fan can help keep your attic dry in winter and reduce attic heat build-up in summer.
